It is for people who
already dance tango. We will work with the traditional tango
elements as ganchos, boleos, giros, molinetes, barridas, etc. . Also
we are going to work with nuevo tango
elements as out of axis combinations like volcadas, colgadas and no
traditional movements.
Always triyng to improve the technique, working with sequences and
improvisation. The aim is to improve the technique of the tango, give
to the student new combinations and also new ideas and tools for improvisation. |
It
is for people who never had an experience with
tango before or just a few lessons. We will work from zero with
the tango structure for the understanding of basic movements and combinations,
musicality, conection in couple for the movement. The aim is to be able
to dance tango in the dance floor using some traditianal sequences and
improvising too. |
Why Santorini and some info about the
island :
 It is our 4th time doing it. We did it already twice in 2008 and again in 2009 (you can see videos and pictures) and the people was always very happy with everything, that is the reason to do it again in 2010.
We choose Santorini because the
incredible views and nature: mountains, sea and beautiful towns on the cliffs.
Our idea was to dance with this beautiful view in the romantic landscape of
the sunset and combine intensive work learning tango with vacations.
Santorini is a small island in the Cyclades group of islands in Greece. It is
one of the most beautifuls islands of all Greece. The main attraction is the
incredible view from the cliffs to the sea and the volcano. Visit the towns
of Fira, Firostefani, Imerovigli and Oia with their very typical arquitecure
of all white little houses on top of the cliffs from 200 to 500 mts over the
see with incredible views. The island is very famous to have one of the most
beautiful sunsets of the world. From the west part of the island you can see
the Volcano and Thirassia. There are many stores on the towns like jewellery,
night life with bars, discotheques, restaurants of greek food. There are many
beaches on the island like in Kamari, Perissa or the Red Beach. In taxi you
can go to the extremes of the island in 1 hour. There are many options of hotels
with different prices in different towns on the cliffs or on the beach. There
are many different excursions to do. What we recomend like something very special
is to do a walking on the cliffs from Fira to Imerovigli and from Imerovigli
to Oia. Other nice excursion is to take a full day boat trip to the volcano
where you walk around and swim in the hotsprings.
